Date #12 and Restaurant #8

We  saw Five Course Love at the Metropolis Arts Center and then dinner at Armand's

I thought the show was creative, the sets imaginative, the music and costumes good, but I didn't always believe the characters.

Dinner, we were seated right away with no reservation.  Garlic Bread, Pasta Fagioli and Minestrone soup, and Lasagna and Meat Ravioli.  Nothing super excellent, but good enough and we discussed meeting Jared off the train for Friday night pizza some time this summer.

Tea

I invited my mom and sister to tea at the Drake Palm Court for mother's day.  I was able to make a reservation on Open Table (love open table!)  We valet parked, and though we arrived a few minutes past our reservation, we were seated right away.  our server was very attentive and informative...we had never been to the Palm Court or tea before. It was a special treat for my mom. she even said everything was much nicer than she expected. the extra goodies and express services from Mario Tricoci were a fun surprise. She loved that she got a red rose. The cream puffs plated as swans were so cute, she even got two extra to bring home to my dad to show off! Valet parking made it easy to drive in to the city. A bit expensive for tea, $38 but a special treat to be sure.

Sara in California

Well, Sara and Brett moved back to Chicago, so I won't be able to complete this one...who owns a house for only a year?!

Handwritten note

I've been better at writing an handwritten note to people once per month.  At first, it was hard to think of someone to write to, but as with many things, the more you do it, the easier it gets!

Blood Donation #2 & #3

I completed this item!  January 31st and March 28th. I did go through lifesource this time as I could schedule my appointments online.  After the second one, I was already scheduled to donate again.  But they never asked me to donate after my third time.  Maybe they knew my goal was 3 times, I don't know.  Since the donation center was in the same complex as where we hold my book club, I went before book club.  I even tried to get some moms to go with me, but no takers.  Either way, I did something good.

Date #16

I just remembered we did a date for Jared's birthday!  We tried to go to Top Golf since he had gotten a gift certificate, but the line was 3 hours, so instead we went to Dave n Busters.  We went with Lori & Andy and we must have gone to dinner too, though since I am writing this in August, I don't remember.

Massage

Since we joined a new gym that has a mini-spa, and I had this item on my list, I decided to take advantage of their special Massage day.  Unfortunately, the masseuse talked the whole time so it wasn't as relaxing as I had hoped.  But I did buy a bunch more minutes to get more massages in the future.
